GETTING HERE

Ucluelet is a 2.5-hour drive from Nanaimo, or a 30-minute floatplane trip.

Our boats are moored at the Ucluelet Inner Harbour Boat Basin. The marina address is  Ucluelet West Govt. Dock, 200 Hemlock St, Ucluelet, BC V0R 3A0. The dock ramp is to the left of The Floathouse Restaurant.

WHAT TO BRING

  • A valid saltwater fishing license

  • Food and beverages of your choice

  • Jacket/rain gear and closed toe shoes or boots

  • Warm clothing

  • Gravol/motion sickness medication (usually taken before boarding)

  • Sunscreen and hat

  • Don’t forget your camera!

HANDLING YOUR CATCH

As we catch fish throughout the day, we immediately bleed them and put them on ice.

At the end of your trip we will gut and dress your fish and package them in plastic fish bags.

You can transport your catch via these bags to your home if you bring a cooler and purchase ice in town. Styrofoam coolers can be purchased nearby at the seafood processors.

Many guests decide to have their catch processed into steaks, vacuum packed, canned or smoked. For this, we suggest taking your catch to one of the processors close to the marina. This option makes the most sense for guests who are traveling from out of town. Your guide can provide further details to facilitate this.
