We invite you to our family-friendly interpretive walk where you will have the opportunity for a hands-on introduction to the pleasant palettes of tidal life. Tide pools are the embodiment of productivity on the West Coast – in all their flowering colours and quiet drama. Enjoy getting to know the bouquet of creatures that sway and rest in the sunny tidal pools of our coast. We'll tell you who is who, the intricacies of how they got there, and why they are so nice while you gently explore the textures and flavours (seaweed!) of the tidal pools. The fish, anemones, and coralline algae are eager to make your acquaintance. This is a moderately difficult walking tour with sections of uneven, steep, and slippery terrain through forest and rocky shores. Your guide will discuss accessibility requirements with you at the time of booking confirmation. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to your guide. A portion of the cost of admission to this interactive tour supports local, non-profit organizations devoted to the stewardship of Barkley and Clayoquot Sound.
