Rainforest Discovery Walk

About this adventure.

The rainforests of the Pacific Rim create a diverse and prolific ecosystem full of edible, useful, and beautiful organisms. Regain your connection with your food and your environment by discovering harvestable species in your region. During a leisurely walk on the Wild Pacific Trail, Learn about the dynamic interactions of plant, fungal, and marine species that make up the Pacific Rim rainforest. This walk by the sea is often sprinkled with Gray Whale sightings. This is a moderately difficult walking tour with sections of uneven, steep, and slippery terrain through forest and rocky shores. Your guide will discuss accessibility requirements with you at the time of booking confirmation. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to your guide. Distance: 4km roundtrip What to bring: Appropriate footwear for walking along a forested trail - closed toe shoes or gumboots Dress for the weather (including a hat and sunscreen!) - waterproof jackets and pants are ideal for rainy days Water and snacks We Provide: Informative and kid-friendly scavenger hunt First aid & safety kits A portion of the cost of admission to this interactive tour supports local, non-profit organizations devoted to the stewardship of Barkley and Clayoquot Sound. Cancelation Policy

Cancellations due to unsafe weather conditions are made at the discretion of Max Fish, at such time there is the option of a full refund or a reschedule. For Fishing Charters and Nature Tours a deposit of $300 is collected at the time of booking to reserve your day on the calendar. No deposit is required for walking tours such as Tidal Pool Hop or Rainforest Discovery Walk. Your $300 deposit is refundable up to 14 days prior to trip date, after such time deposits are not refundable.
